Hulk Smash (1 Liner)

I thought I'd finish up a Hulk illustration I had started a short time ago just to keep going with the superhero kick I seem to be on. My previous post, How Superheroes Use Social Media, seemed to have gotten a lot of shares online (thanks so much!), so why not keep going a little?

This one's a mixture of a single continuous line drawing (Start at the ear and end at his hair) and a lot of angry texture. And some hand lettering.

I'll have it up in my Etsy shop soon as an option for a print.

Volunteer image

This is an image I illustrated and designed as a header for a piece about volunteering. The background incorporates a close-up photo I took of a section of a very old painting. I wanted the brush strokes to add a texture to the piece to give it a more hands-on feel (which is just what volunteering is!).

5 Faces: One Liners

I have a section of my website I call one-liners (you'll find it as a category in the "ed" section) where each illustration is made up of, you guessed it, one line. These were some illustrations I sketched in my sketchbook before I transposed them to my computer and redid them with cleaner lines.

Sometimes I like to trace the lines with my eyes just to make me dizzy = )

At top is a quick one-line sketch before I planned to begin the more detailed one under it. Well, as soon as I was done my wife decided to move and that's why the lower drawing is a slightly different pose.
